Join our safety team and ensure our staff are safe at work! You will support safe work practices throughout the City by coordinating safety programs, systems and training. Up to 50% of your time is spent in the field to perform inspections and advise supervisors on the application of the City's Safety Management Systems. You will also provide hands on Level 2 First Aid services as required.

Do you have superior organizational and administration skills along with excellent communication and inter‐personal abilities? Developing safety training programs, committee participation, statistical analysis, report writing and performing investigations are all part of the job responsibilities. Qualifications include: a working knowledge of appropriate WorksafeBC requirements, Fire Code, and Safety standards, and post‐secondary education in one of the following:

  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation
  • Certified Safety Professional designation
  • Diploma related to Health & Safety
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
