About the CRSP Designation

The Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation is awarded by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. Information on the designation and the registration process is available from BCRSP at 1-888-279-2777 or by visiting their web site at www.bcrsp.ca.

The designation is awarded to professionals who have met academic, experience and professional examination requirements. The designation is increasingly required for occupational health and safety positions. The designation recognizes, under charter from the federal government, those persons who have achieved a professional level of competence in accident prevention.

About the Course

CSSE offers the state of the art CRSP Exam Prep Course for those people contemplating taking the examination portion of the registration process. In the year 2000, BCRSP significantly altered its examination process and published a blueprint for the CRSP exam which outlines the 10 competency domains covered by the exam material and identifies the importance of 123 defined competencies. This rating of competencies clearly illustrates the skills and knowledge that the Canadian safety practitioner must have. It also clearly establishes the direction that exam preparation and study must take. Recently, another competency domain was added, bringing the total to 11 domains.

CSSE completely re-wrote its Exam Prep Course early in 2001 and made further improvements in 2002 and again in 2004 to provide you with the most comprehensive seminar available. Focusing on the texts, study guides and examination competencies, this course gives the participant the tools and instruction to successfully complete the study and examination process.

The workbook is organized as a tool, to allow you increased ease in accessibility and readability, so you can concentrate on studying the material, not trying to find it. As well, the course material is constantly under review to ensure not only BCRSP changes are noted, but that participants receive the best, most current information available.

CSSE now offers the most comprehensive course available, in a seminar setting, to help applicants prepare for the CRSP examination.
