Position Summary

OHS Coordinator supports OHS Department administrative, specialty OHS skills, outcome measurements, OHS Auditing and statistical analysis for all Farrow Locations (Canada and US, 23 offices). Reporting to the Director, Corporate Quality and OHS.

 

Key Responsibilities (Supervisory/Materials/Information)

  • OHS Internal Auditor / Assessing function - Audit OHS processes and create audit reports, support corrective action process
  • Support All Canadian & US Office & Warehouse OHS Program
  • Joint Health and Safety Committee Lead
  • Responsible for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Programs / Supplies
  • OHS Documents (Procedures, forms etc.)
  • First Aid Reporting
  • Corporate Communicable Disease / Hand Sanitizer Program
  • Uniform Order Program – Farrow Express
  • Various administration Duties for OHS Records and location binders
  • Maintain OHS Corporate training log
  • OHS Corporate KPIs
  • Support OHS Special Projects

 

Education and Experience

  • OHS College Diploma preferred
  • Auditing experience
  • OHS program/ Management system experience.
  • Administrative and documenting experience

  • Superb written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to perform analysis and make recommendations

  • Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent Organizational and planning skills, able to manage multiple demands
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently as well as part of a team

 

Working Conditions, Mental Effort & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while auditing
  • Ability to focus on computer screen and / or written materials for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Must work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely and efficient manner
  • Must be able to professionally handle various personnel and other situations as they arise
  • Travel is required (Canadian Provinces and USA – Approximately 25%)
