Algonquin College Occupational Safety and Health - Fire Code Administration

Are you interested in expanding your knowledge and skills related to occupational safety and health in the field of fire inspection and the administration of the National Fire Code? If so, this College Certificate program is ideal for you.

Students learn how to conduct fire inspections in buildings, including those under construction, renovation and demolition, as well as how to review and make recommendations for changes to fire safety plans and protocols.

This program is recommended to those who are already practitioners in the field of occupational health and safety, specifically individuals employed as occupational health and safety officers or inspectors, building inspectors, standards administrators and inspectors, and those working in environmental and public health.

To qualify for this certificate, you must complete the program within three years.
