Session Description
Although more mainstream than it was 5 years ago, it remains difficult to find the nuts and bolts to create and sustain a mental health support program for your employee. This presentation is a compelling and real-life sequel to the 2013 Presentation: 'Burst Your Bubble - Implementing a Mental Health Program', where the original presenters return to report on where they are now and how they got there.

Danielle currently works as a Consultant for Workplace Safety and Prevention Services where she is a member of the Organizational Health Team, a member of the Board of Directors for the Ontario Workplace Health Coalition and trained Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Danielle completed her Undergraduate and Masters Degrees at Wilfrid Laurier University. While studying, Danielle founded Laurier’s first mental health awareness program entitled “Burst Your Bubble”. The program was later adopted by the University of Waterloo and other neighboring universities and workplaces.

Risk Registers: A Qualitative Look at a Semi-Quantitative Tool
Session Description
The intent of this presentation is to introduce risk registers conceptually to those in the audience who may not be familiar with them, or a refresher for those who would like to review the use of risk registers. Pacific Safety will also provide some practical and technical examples that look at the components of risk, and risk registers, their value, and how they can be used simply, or in a more complex fashion.
Since 2012 Pacific Safety has developed risk registers for a wide range of clients across a number of industries including construction, marine, aviation, and performing arts amongst others. Whether these registers have leaned towards qualitative, or quantitative, the clients we have worked with have seen significant value in the use of these risk registers as a hazard
