Across Canada, April 28 has been designated as the Day of Mourning.
This year, we are going to hold our ceremony on Monday, April 29th so that we can have our business community involved during a week day.
Every year workers, families, employers, safety associations and others come together at ceremonies held around the province to remember those who were injured, disabled or have lost their lives to work-related incidents or occupational diseases. In 1984, The Canadian Labour Congress first declared April 28th Canada’s Day of Mourning.
Please join us at Red Deer City Hall to remember those who no longer have a voice in workplace safety.
