BUILDING SAFETY PARTNERSHIPS

National Safety Association hosts a FREE information session on Workplace Safety for Small and Medium size business.

Bridgewater, NS, February 27, 2018 – Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) Western NS Chapter is hosting a FREE information event: Building Safety Partnerships, for small and medium size business. Workplace safety incidents cost employers hundreds of millions of dollars every year. The cost of a workplace injury reduces a company’s bottom line, and businesses cannot afford a reduction in profit margins.

The panel of representatives from Workers’ Compensation, Department of Labour and Safety Professionals from Western NS will provide an overview of employer’s responsibilities and answer participants' questions. In a safe environment, participants will be able to ask questions and discuss affecting their respective workplaces.

Employers must manage many aspects of their business. Participants will receive a FREE Small Business Safety Toolkit that helps put together a program to look after the health and safety of each person in the workplace. Managing occupational health and safety is just as important as managing finances when it comes to the bottom line. Health and safety is important to everyone. It’s not only the law – it’s the right thing to do. And it makes good business sense.

Location: Bridgewater Fire Department, Bridgewater
