Jose Barranco Bio:

Jose Barranco is a Manager at WorkSafeBC Risk Analysis Unit which goal is to identify and control workplace risks before harm is done. Prior to joining WorkSafeBC, Jose worked as a Safety Manager for Amazon and as a Regional Safety Manager for Procter & Gamble. Jose holds a Bachelor degree in Mechatronics Engineering and is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional.”

 
Sarah Henderson Bio

Sarah Henderson is the Scientific Director of Environmental Health Services at the BC Centre for Disease Control. Since April 2020 she has co-chaired the provincial COVID-19 Safer Operations Working Group (SOWG), which has representation from the Office of the Provincial Health Officer, WorkSafe BC, and all of the regional health authorities. The mandate of SOWG has been to provide evidence-based guidance on safer operations during the pandemic across all sectors (excluding healthcare and education). In non-pandemic times, Sarah leads a program of applied research in and surveillance to support environmental health policy in BC.
