The North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is a continent-wide event spanning the countries of Canada, USA, and Mexico. The goal during the North American Occupational Safety & Health (NAOSH) Week is to focus the attention of employers, employees, partners, and the public on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home, and in the community.
The Calgary NAOSH Week Education Day is aimed at the wide range of health and safety practitioners across our City (and indeed, attendees from other municipalities have been known to show up). An effort is made to choose sessions on topics that affect a broad range of our membership and/or to look at fresh topics that we can explore together.
Our 2018 NAOSH Week Education Day was held on May 8th at the Glenmore Inn. Over 130 individuals representing over 60 organizations came together to hear our feature presentations, network, visit the vendor fair, and learn together and from each other.
Planning for the 2019 NAOSH Week Education Day will commence soon as we are interested in hearing about the key issues that you are facing or topics where you feel knowledge is generally lacking and there is an opportunity to learn together and from another.
Past organizations represented include: education, emergency services, the hospitality industry, food safety, agricultural producers, industry associations, power producers, telecomm, manufacturing, petroleum, construction, health care, consultants, service providers and vendors.
