About Us

The New Brunswick chapter of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE NB) was established in the 1970s and now has over 110 members across the province. Our members are health and safety professionals from a variety of work environments.

Our members are committed to preventing workplace injuries. To facilitate this, CSSE NB offers members a network of colleagues and a place where members can exchange knowledge and share experiences.

There are 31 chapters that make up the CSSE is a non-profit society with more than 4000 members in 31 chapters. Founded in 1949, it has grown to be the largest and most established national professional organization in Canada for health and safety practitioners with over 4,000 members in 31 chapters across Canada, the United States and everywhere around the world working together to improve health, safety and the environmental profession. "The Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) is the leading health, safety and environment organization for professionals in Canada. We work with industry, government agencies and other safety organizations to promote greater awareness of health, safety and environmental issues in workplaces and communities across the country and around the world . Our vision is "A safety advocate in all workplaces".

CSSE is a national organization that supports the functioning of 31 chapters. The chapters provide local forums for information exchange and networking between professionals. Through chapter meetings and activities, members promote and raise the profile of the profession in communities across Canada.

Our mission is to be the resource for professional development, the exchange of knowledge and information for our members, our profession and the Canadian public.

Mission

The mission of CSSE is to be the premier organization of health, safety and loss prevention specialists. The New Brunswick Chapter supports this mission and will endeavor to promote the ethics, values ​​and professionalism of CSSE at all times.
